Anne Karlstrom has lived in Albuquerque since 1991. She has a Bachelor of Music in Violin Performance from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, and also received her Suzuki Long Term Teacher Training at NAU, with Dr. Louise Scott. She continued her teacher training in Albuquerque, studying the Suzuki literature again with Susan Kempter and taking pedagogy training at University of New Mexico. She maintains an active private studio, and is a Coordinator with the Suzuki Lab School at UNM, teaching repertoire and reading classes and helping supervise and mentor UNM pedagogy intern students. Anne is an active member, and two-time past-President of the New Mexico chapter of American String Teachers Association.
Anne has been a member of Santa Fe Symphony since 1993. She has also been a member of the San Antonio Symphony in Texas, and the Tucson Symphony and Flagstaff Symphony in Arizona.
